In short
You can use the map, the reports, the data cards and the client briefs without giving us any personal data. We set no cookies and show no ads. The only personal data we store is your email address, and only if you sign up for updates. We never sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Who is responsible
ThaiZone Map is run by Tamas Deli, Hungary (European Union), who is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
If you sign up for updates
We store your email address, the topics and the role you picked (if any), which form you used, the consent wording you agreed to, the date and time, and – if you arrived through a partner's link – that partner's code. We use this only to email you about ThaiZone Map: new features, and early access to the paid version with the founding-member offer. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time on our unsubscribe page, which deletes your address immediately, by replying STOP to any of our emails, or by writing to [email protected]. We keep your address until you withdraw your consent, and delete the whole list if ThaiZone Map shuts down.
Anonymous counts
When the early-access window is shown, we record which step people reach (shown, opened, role picked, and so on) and what triggered it. Nothing that identifies you is stored with it – no email address, IP address, cookie or visitor ID. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
What your browser keeps
A few small entries are saved in your browser's storage, on your device only, and only when the feature they belong to comes into play: the partner code from a partner's link (tz-ref, for 90 days, sent with your sign-up so the partner can be credited); whether the early-access window was already shown in this visit, and whether you closed it or signed up (tz.earlyAccess.*), so we don't ask again; and the name and contact details you type into the client-brief form (tz-brief-agent), so you don't have to retype them. The brief details are never sent to us – they travel only in the link you create, and anyone you give that link to can see them. You can clear all of these by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Who processes data for us
Cloudflare serves the website and our email address; like any web host it processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. Supabase hosts our database in Ireland (EU); the map loads its figures from it directly, so Supabase also sees your IP address in its logs. Emails you send us are forwarded to, and answered from, a Google (Gmail) mailbox. Where these providers process data outside the EU, they do so under the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected]; we reply within one month. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Hungarian data protection authority (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11, naih.hu) or to the authority where you live. If you are in Thailand, you have similar rights under the Personal Data Protection Act, B.E. 2562 (2019), and can use the same address.
Children
ThaiZone Map is not meant for children. Please do not sign up if you are under 16.
Changes
If we start collecting anything new, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
